Born from an encounter with the photography book L’Égypte, this work is a musical crystallization sparked by intellectual explorations across various fields—including Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Roslynn D. Haynes. Furthermore, the recording features the late legendary guitarist Manuel Göttsching, known for the historic masterpiece E2-E4—a pioneering work of techno, ambient, and minimal music—who lends a sense of musical eternity to the album.
For this re-release, a new booklet is included, featuring newly commissioned essays by Yuka Komatsu, who has continued covering Syria for many years, and desert culture researcher Roslynn D. Haynes (Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales), along with valuable commentary from other contributors.

写真集『L’Égypte』を発端として創作が始まった本作は、サン＝テグジュペリやロズリン・ヘインズをはじめ、さまざまな分野の知性に糸口を与えられ、結実した音楽といえます。また録音には、テクノ／アンビエント／ミニマルミュージックの先駆的作品となった歴史的名盤『E2-E4』で知られる伝説的ギタリスト、故マニュエル・ゲッチング氏も参加し、このアルバムに音楽的な永遠性を与えています。
今回の再リリースに際しては、長年にわたりシリア取材を続ける小松由佳氏、砂漠文化研究者であるロズリン・D・ヘインズ氏（ニューサウスウェルズ大学准教授）による新たな寄稿文、そして関係者による貴重なコメントが収められた、新しいブックレットが付属します。
