Composed from the chess game record “Queen Sacrifice” and dedicated to Manuel Göttsching, 《Sacrifice》is a dialogic musical work for two performers. 

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new project that documents a series of “musical dialogues” with a wide range of musicians through the medium of this score. 

The project seeks to deepen our understanding of instruments, to explore the multiplicity of score interpretation, and to engage in the mutual exchange of musical languages through sound. 

The first dialogue features trumpeter Yoichiro Kita.

この度、《Sacrifice》スコアを媒介とし、多様な音楽家たちとの「音楽的対話」を記録していく新たなプロジェクトを開始いたしました。

このプロジェクトは、楽器への理解を深め、楽譜の多面的な解釈を発見し、音を通じて互いの音楽的言語を理解し合うことを目的としています。

記念すべき、第一回の対話の相手は、トランペット奏者・北陽一郎さんです。
