Drawings by Emi Burns

Following the introduction of the glass chess pieces, we now present the drawings. The title of this release is "Sacrifice," inspired by a historic chess game. At the same time, it carries the deeply personal emotions of its creator, Mami Konishi. The drawings by Emi Burns trace the origins of "Sacrifice," capturing what lies submerged at the riverbed, as though delicately retrieving hidden fragments.

ガラスのチェスピースに次いで、ドローイングをご紹介します。今回のリリース作品のタイトルは"Sacrifice" ―ある歴史的なチェス・ゲームから引用されていると同時に、作者である 小西麻美の個人的な深い想いも込められています。 バーンズ絵美によるドローイングは、"Sacrifice"が創作された起源を遡り、その川底に沈むものを掬い取るように描かれていきました。
